My 1990 FJ62 wouldn’t start the other day. Wasn’t getting fuel. Fuel pump turned on but no fuel delivery. I replaced the pump yesterday and it ran fine for about 30 minutes. Now is stumbling and almost dying when I give it gas and let off. I’ve checked vacuum lines/air intake and all seem intact. EGR is deleted.
I’m up in Maine and trying to leave to go home to Texas and it keeps giving me issues. My backup plan is just shipping it and flying home if o can’t figure it out. Any thoughts?

Truck idles fine, it’s only when I give it gas and the RPMs come back down does it stumble and almost dies.

Have you ever replaced the fuel pressure regulator? Part no. is 2328061010 but the FPR is NLA, so aftermarket is the only option. Something to consider.
Determined that was the issue, can’t get the part in time so I’m just shipping the truck back home and will deal with it later. Bummer! Thanks for the response and great guess!

There are several other Toyota/Honda/Mitsbishi/Subaru/Isuzu from the 90's that use a FPR that is very similar and interchangable. Go into whatever parts store with the old part in hand and you'll find one that fits.
