This thing was laying on top of the engine cover and fell out when I removed it. Any idea what it is?

It was sitting loose on top of the underbelly cover. I noticed the cover was heavier than usual while removing it when this thing rolled off and hit the ground.Flip it over and also provide more context.
You opened the hood, and it was laying on top of the big "V8 4700" cover? Or you removed that cover and in the process it fell out somehow?

According to the diagram this should be the replacament part. It may have been installed incorrectly if it fell out. I'd investigate this ASAP!
Yep. Here’s the pic from the TSBI'm guessing the upper sliding yoke bolt should pass thru the tab on the part to hold it in place?
