Help Changing Front Seat Brackets (1 Viewer)

Hey Mudders - I just picked up some aftermarket seats that were in an 83 FJ60 for my 89 FJ62. I thought the brackets would line up but they don't. It looks like three of the four brackets are taller on my 62.

The brackets are welded onto the frame of the new seats so it looks like the best option is to remove the rivets holding in the brackets on each set of seats and swap mine onto the new set I bought.

Sound right? Air chisel the old rivet off and find a matching bolt to secure them?

Sounds like a good plan to me. This will be a McGyver type of project, so there's no one way to do it and probably lots of good ways. If they're strong & aligned they'll be good.
