Hi All,
Deep in Kings Canyon. No cell, no wifi.
Symptom. Single click no start.
What I’ve tried.
Battery replacement. Best i could find 710 cca
Multiple jump boxes and jump attempts from F250.
Background:
Went into store yesterday and left truck on with AC running / engine off for about 20 minutes. Issues stared here, took two attempts, later on in day had to use jump box. This morning nothing.
Any ideas please post them here before o tow out off mountains in shame.
Thanks any info.

If you’ve already replaced the battery, it’s likely the starter like @tbisaacs suggested. All the symptoms point to that. There are threads on here about how to get a long screwdriver up to the solenoid, but unless you have the stuff to do that on hand, towing is the answer.

possible the immobilizer needs reset... its in your manual..

Unfortunately this sounds like the classic starter issue. It's not an easy one to resolve in the field. And is labor intensive to fix.

For the next person, low battery voltage is a catalyst for this issue. It's often on trips the battery gets run hard and run down. The starter relay has to pass that much more current when voltage sags. This extra current is what what tends to burn out contacts. Or seals the fate of a marginal starter relay.

Yep, my starter gave very little warning before kicking the bucket (thankfully in front of my house). I bought the extra long screwdriver for the jump trick, but couldn't get it to work. Starter is a bastard in this truck. I chose to tow it to the mechanic, which I rarely do and have never done for something as seemingly straightforward as a starter.
