Title of the thread is "Hellroaring Dual Battery Install". 3rd item in the list. Post 3 has discussion and pictures of the Hellroaring isolator and where he installed it

B, what I'm looking for is the Battery Isolator/Combiner (BIC) model number. I know about the thread title but I'm specifically looking for the BIC model number i.e BIC 75300, BIC 95300B etc.. etc... that he installed :D.

OK, SF80 posted the model number. I have the same BIC and am quite happy with it. Works as designed. Competitive price. Good instructions. Highly recommended.

Thanks SF80 and Beowulf, that is the model number I'm expecting to receive on the mail this week and this write up will tremendously help me in the install process .

Good luck on the install! As stated above, beware of the tight space on the isolator.

This pic shows how much of the lugs i had to grind down (use the zoom-in feature in the upper-right):

Picasa Web Albums - Brian - TLC Dual Batt...

Even after you get them ground down, the retaining nuts have to be pretty tight to avoid having the cables rotating and touching. I might even re-shrink tube the two ends on the isolator all the way down the lug and trim with a knife where it attaches to the isolator, just to avoid arcing.

If you use the lugs that come in the Hellroaring kit then you don't have to worry about the lugs. They fit fine (tight, but fine) and you won't need to grind or do extra shrink-wrapping.

Nice install SF80 and good documentation.

Greetings:

Nice write-up and install. Is your 150 amp fuse on your negative (ground)? If so, why? On my dual battery install I have it on the positive very close to the starting battery before the long run to the aux. battery.

Thanks,
