I am planning to lift my truck with a Hell Creek Lift. I am thinking about doing a 4" or 2.5" lift, but I need to know some overall height information after the lift to help me with my decision. I am planning on going with 33' or 35' tires depending.

Here's the deal, I have a garage with 7' door opening and I doubt I will put my hard top back on my truck, so that can be taken into consideration.

PLEASE :D let me know that following about your truck:

- Measurement from the top of your roll cage/roll bar (or the highest point) to the ground. If your hard top is on your truck, try to give a good estimate.

- Size tires you are running.

- Shackle length.

Also, I do a lot more on-the-road driving, but I do rock crawl and trail ride so I don't want to change the overall handling and performance of my truck too much.

Thank you in advance. This will be a big help! :bounce:

Why Hell creek ? I have the OME with dakar springs and 33's on mine and no hard top. it fits in the garage no problems .. rides great too ..

Here is a pic of my 4" Hell Creek setup.

My specs are as follows:
Tires: 35X12.5X12.5X17
Shackles (eye to eye):
-Front: 4.5 (Conferr)
-Back: 5.75 (Ruff Stuff)

Shims (Castor correction):
4* in back
3* in front

I will get you my height measurements later. Overall my 40 is a pleasure to drive on road. Hell Creek springs are great and not too stiff.

Yes, the OME with dakar springs is a very nice option. However, I am looking at spending around $570 for a 4" spring kit from Hell Creek vs. spending $1,200 for OME. The difference alone will help out on the tire bill. Several members of Cottonland Cruisers have Hell Creek and are extremely satisfied with their springs. No problems, no squeaks, etc.

Also, I can go pick these up at the factory since I drive through Amory, MS several times a year...no shipping! :)

Thanks!

Your truck looks great!

I will probably have some 4" skyjacker springs for sale later this summer when I get my SO done. I don't know what your time frame is, but...

I have a 2 1/2 inch Hell Creek on my 77 with 33" BFG's and 3 1/4 inch eye to eye shackels. It will go in my 7 ft garage with the top on. Rough measure from floor to top of rollbar is 77 inches. I think the Hell Creek kit is a good value. I just bought a second kit for my sons 78.

I have HC 4" lift with slightly longer shackles.

I just put on a new set of 36" Swamper TSLs. It just fits throught the door with the hardtop. It actually scrapes the top rubber door insulation. My garage door is an inch shy of 7ft

Just do the 4" and 35's and be done with it! I'll have to hear you whine about it later if you do the 2.5" It'll fit.

Later,

I measure 82 inches to the top of my roll bar....

lol. :flipoff2:

I just want to make sure it fits in my garage first. Trust me, I am planning to install the lift outside the garage just in case. It would suck if I couldn't get it out.

Thanks for taking the time to take measurements guys! :)

Now that I have something to work with. It looks like the 4" with 35's will be a tight fit, but I think it will make it with an inch or so to spare. If it doesn't I might have to remodel. :hhmm:

Ill be looking for this rig around town. Curious to hear how it turns out. Thats on my list of things to do following sheet metal work and painting.

Go 4"......just ask Lash:p

As Bodean says:rolleyes:4" and then 35's.....most bang for the buck.

Plus should it not fit on 35's.....let air out of the tires:hillbilly:

See ya in Oct.

Just put on a 4" HFS lift and 33's, 2.5 shackles. Have a 7' garage door. Hard top is still on and truck fits with about 1/4 to spare.

Do you have picture's?

4" Hell Creek with 1.5" ConnFerr extended shackles and 35 x 12.50 x 15 Hankook MTs

I have a couple of inches of clearance getting in and out of the garage.

I highly recommend repeatedly flexing your springs after install to break them in and soften them up. I drove through a 1.5 to 2 foot deep ditch that was about 2.5 to 3 feet across. Drive into the ditch at an angle (one wheel at a time) from both sides to flex out the springs.

Also, be sure not to over tighten the shackle pins which will limit the shackles ability to swing with the springs flex.

My Hell Creek suspension performs great on and off road, is made in the USA, has a lifetime warranty, and was a great value!
