This might be what you are looking for???

or is it the hose size?

sorry to hear, how many miles ? glad I just had mine changed out..

Yes, I need the T connector size.

194k miles.

If you are looking for size, the "leg" of the T is about 1/2" while the cross bar of the T is close to 5/8"

Found this in FAQ's:
I would say it is slightly smaller than the stock metric T based on the feel how it slides into the hoses. I got leaks when installed with original swollen OEM hoses. No leak when installed with new 5/8 and 1/2 Gates hoses.

Don't forget pliers and some type of pick to dig the plastic out. Demineralized water should be enough if you can't get toyo red.

Were you popping your hood and playing with your t's while away from home?

If you just need a temporary band-aid to get home, you could use a straight nipple or appropriately sized deep socket to bypass all the heater cores and connect the line coming from the engine right back to the line going back to the engine... Or somehow just plug both of them shut. Then top off the coolant with plain water (not some other different coolant). Not the most elegant, but at least should get you back home.

Can I use long life coolant (factory red) with super long life 50/50 coolant?

Form Toyota Parts web page:
"Super Long Life Antifreeze/Coolant
This special pink formula provides maximum protection without the use of harmful silicates. It’s extremely durable and was developed specifically to meet the requirements of your Toyota’s engine.
  • Compatibility with non-metallic materials helps it extend the life of water pump seals
  • Won’t corrode aluminum surfaces like coolants that contain borate
  • Won’t clog radiators due to silicone "gelling"
  • Pre-diluted 50/50
  • Compatible with Toyota red Long Life Antifreeze/Coolant"
My Water Pump with red, has 165K on it so I've not wanted to change anything yet. Someday I may switch to pink, but will triple flush with DM water to make sure all silicates are out first.

Toyota red is a two year or 30K miles between flushing's.

You can also use these t's from Lowe's while you get the OE.

Okay well I'm home

I used red since I could not remember what I used previously.

I used one gallon of red and I can still add some more but I will just add water since the red came to the top of the cap. The reservoir is empty.

I should be okay with mixing the two but will just need to flush at an earlier date than with super long life pink.

If you picture the acid on a battery terminal then that's how the T looked before. I had planned on replacement but it was one those do it later things. Well, if it has signs of corrosion then swap them!

Thank you for your posting 2001lc. I'll set a reminder to flush in a year and that should do it.

Here is the after shot...

If you used tab water I'd not wait a year.

Your more than welcome.

I use only Toyota red 100% mixed 50/50 with demineralized water. The 50/50 red premix is great, I just seem to find better prices on the 100%. Like at CARQUEST, they carried Toyota red for ~$15 a few year ago when I did my last flush.

When every I look into the top of a radiator and see deposits (acid on battery terminal look you mentioned), I'll bet tap water was used. Tap water and not flush according to PM, and deposit will surely build. These deposit will eat away at every component of the cooling system, T's included.

Years ago all coolants were the same green stuff. Today one must be very careful not to mix various brands. Some mixed together will cause the mixture to jell. Others will setup a corrosive reaction.

I'd piss in the radiator if I had too. But would flush with DM water and refill first change. That water pump is just to much of a PITA to get to.
