Trust and believe your heater T's will eventually go. Probably on a desolate Arizona freeway, on the 4th of July... Also, a new fan clutch and my tank mpg went from 200sh to 250sh..

Must be the fan blades acting like a prop and doubling the engine output! Just kidding.

Engine probably runs more efficiently at proper operating temps.

wait, wait , wait. you increased MPG just from a fan clutch !?!?
this is a major discovery.. any ideas why? how?
To expound on this, based on readings made in the forums it was realized that my current fan clutch was decidedly bad. No "clutching" so to speak. Very firm, very connected when spun, both when warm and cold (phoenix cold). Water temp would increase steadily when traveling over 80 mph, and I'd have to slow down to decrease water temps. This was all while A/C was full max and it was about 110 degrees outside, after 4-5 hours of doing trails. I assumed thermostat at first, but remembered I had done that when I changed my water pump, timing belt, etc. very recently. My homeys 4.7 tundra had just recently done in 2 off brand fan clutches within a month. So I did the tests I learned from this page and voila. No overheating water temp rock solid stable, full AC, 110 degrees, waiting for 20 minutes in the school pickup line, doesn't matter. Just to be fair - I don't know if this could increase mpg somehow. At the same time as the fan clutch I also put in a brand new Interstate 24F big daddy (I forget what it's really called).
