I know this topic is covered many times, but I can't find I can't find what I'm looking for.

I have a 2000 LC and need to adjust the low beams. They are way too low and it's unsafe. There are two bolts on the back of my light housing. Is one of them for the vertical adjustment of the low beams? If so, what direction do I turn the bolt for up? For down?

BTW, this is the passenger side light.

Thanks.

You adjust the housing as a unit. I adjust mine in the side of a building at a business park with no light. There is several threads I believe with measurements.

Tape off the beam and use an cordless drill with the larger Phillips bit and then make adjustments from there. R or L I can't tell you which way is up.

Best,

Shane

Both are bolts. Neither takes a philips.

Or are you saying forget those two bolts and adjust the whole light housing?

Is there no DIY on the board?

Socket, top one is height. Lower is side to side. DOT states for every 25ft, they need to have a 2.5" drop. Turn slowly, the plastic uniballs/adjuster threads can get brittle over time.

There is a 8mm head, but I'd go nuts doing it that way. So I use Phillips as you can stand outside along the fender and watch what you're doing.

Others may do it another way.

The older designs don't have the phillips adjusters. I notched mine with a dremel and now I can use a 8mm or flat head.

Thanks guys. I can't believe I've lived with it like this for this long.

Hi guys- not trying to hijack but a question on the lights- I had different globes installed and now I find one light/drivers side has the rectangle shape light spread horizontally but the passengers side is a vertical rectangle shape spread and so narrows the spread but may pee off traffic. Has the auto sparky put this globe in 90 degrees wrong?

cheers
