Have a rolled LHD FJ80 that has a HDJ81 drivetrain swapped in. The vehicle harness was modified from the RHD HDJ81 to fit the LHD FJ80 and maintain factory operation of all components. The engine harness has been lengthened to accommodate the firewall hole being on the opposite side. I am a licensed HD mechanic, did all the work 3 years ago, the truck has been very reliable.

For sale:
-1HDT engine, 280,000km total, 70,000km on rod bearings and timing belt
-A442 tranny, 70,000km. its a rebuilt unit from Wholesale Automatics Australia, with extreme valve body, which gets you firmer shifting and 3rd gear lockup
-transfer case
-electric locking axle set, front end rebuilt 10,000 km ago with new brakes at the time. Front axle housing has LHD steering and panhard mount
-harnesses to drop this drivetrain into another LHD FJ80 or FZJ80
-other parts may be available.

Questions/offers. Runs great, still drives, clear title. Bring your aviator goggles and go for a test drive. :steer:

Morning gentlemen. Truck is in Pemberton, BC, which is about 3 hours north of the Washington border. Its registered as a 1991 FJ80 with matching frame and body VINS. Title is clear. I'd like to keep the winch, bumper, and studded tires/wheels.

Unfamiliar with the current market, but asking 10,000. -I'd really like to find another FZJ or FJ donor and build myself another one, but there are lots of RHD HDJ81s for sale up here, not so many LHD FJs. Build thread:

Id really like to sell everything together at this point. That trans was 4200, I'd need 2200 for it, it's a full hydraulic unit with extreme valve body, pretty sure the trans you'd need for the truck in your thread is an electronic a442f. This drivetrain was out of a 1990 hdj81, my bad.

This would be great for someone south of the border, should import easily and be a very straight forward swap. Will entertain offers. Looking for a hdj81 or fzj80.

Nope I have the full hydraulic, they changed in 1993 to the electronic. Does it have the upgraded converter?

Mid to Late 92... ASutherland has a 92 and he has the ECT.....
 
Bump for offers, have a new truck, would like to sell this whole or part out.

Stock convertor stall i believe. Valve body is the main difference, firmer shifts, 3rd gear convertor lockup. Im considering swapping this tranny for the stock unit in my new truck.
