Thank you for the suggestion, and the link.I went hunting for a better way. It's not a Toyota SST but this pin wrench works using the 3mm pins.
It would be nice if it were offset for better clearance on the dash. But it is cheap and it works.

We were able to use the suggested needle nose plier technique to remove the recalcitrant hazard switch nut. But, it put up a valiant fight. We now need to remove both the wiper switch and the headlight switch and I'm hopeful this tool will make it easier
Matt,make sure , like dam sure you use a oem 3mm vacuum cap and twist in ON the lighted knob tip to protect and prevent snapping off the clear fiberoptic rod exposed tip ,
both on remover and re- install
there is no super glue solution here and she will NEVER make that knob visibly lit ever again .......
