I have a 1964 FJ. Will the Hayne’s manuals from 68+ be ‘mostly’ still relevant to the ‘64? I’ve found the downloadable FSMs, etc…but just curious if the Haynes manuals would be beneficial to have on the shelf. I assume probably not since brakes, engines, etc are different.

IMHO the haynes manual is marginal at best. They will tell you 50 times that brake fluid will eat your paint and poison your pet but not tell you the tranny needs to fully mate to the bell housing freely - no sucking it up with the bolts.

Ugh…funny enough (or not funny) I got brake fluid on my FJ when doing a clutch bleed over the weekend and noticed my paint was ‘melting’ in a small spot yesterday. I must have missed a spot when cleaning!!!

They have the older FSMs online…might just pick one of those up instead. Probably most of the stuff is over my head anyways. :(

I don't mind being told stuff, but I hate being told the same thing over and over. TV shows are like 22% new footage the rest is repeated stuff from the last commercial break, recaps from the past or previews of some future broadcast. Oh and the fake drama like Parker saying to one write a report about your wrong choice.
