As far as progress - I'm on hold until I can put the front axle in. I've got the engine so far down that I'm afraid that the oil pan will hit the front axle or the tie rod. The front of the oil pan is below the frame rails. May need to move it back or up.

Georg, Thanks! Got the goodies. tomorrow - I begin again... Getting the Atlas in, took a lot of tries and a little beating on the passenger's side floor but it tucks up nicely in the 81 tub.

OK! Got some work done today!!
Engine is back out - Got to work on Georg's googie package (Thanks!) "Finessed" the 700R4 dust cover to fit the TBI rear main bearing/oil pan. Installed the new fly wheel (with the correct bolt pattern) hope summit will take the other one back... Engine and tranny are final assembled. Need some silicone to seal up the unused holes on the Atlas and adapter and I'll slap it back on.

I'd love to. I kind of feel like I did not get to run everything I wanted. But - thanks to you guys I got to run a lot!!
That trip was the catalyst for this build.The only problem is the drive - We'll see - maybe Grogan and I might load up the Gooseneck and just take one truck...
