Hope everyone had a great New Years! After 6 years I am passing the torch of Presidency of ONSC to Brian Keefer (GARNERFJ40-prior Events Coordinator). I have really enjoyed getting things going over the years but it wasn't until recent years and the help from all of you that things really took off. We have an incredible group of members that are willing to do just about anything to help a fellow cruiser friend. We have managed to become one of the most active cruiser clubs in the country and have been recognized by other clubs for such. I have to give you all the credit for that. Brian and Heather have done a great job organizing the Spring Tide Ride over the past few years along with many others and Al (LT1FIRE) did a great job organizing Logans Run this past year. Everyone has had a part in making this club a success and I know it will continue in the future. I look forward to continuing a contribution to the club. We have a great group of BOD's that will take care of any questions/requests anyone has.

I was able to dig up a little history on the start of things back in 2005 for some of you who might want a little background on ONSC.

Looking forward to another great year!

Got to admit this club has come along way from the ideas we had in the beginning.

You have done a great job Greg, and i know Brian will do great things also.

We do have a great group of people here in the club.

Happy new Year to you Greg.

Thanks Greg! I know it's bittersweet to hand over the reigns of something you worked so hard to start, to someone else...

I welcome the opportunity to take a great club, and try and make it even better! Everyone who has participated in the Board of Directors in the past, has done a great job. Greg set up a good model, and we'll continue the active monthly trips, regardless of the number of people able to attend. We'll add a little spin to it in the future...

I almost passed up the nomination to do the events for this club, 4 years ago, and am glad I didn't. It takes some time, and some key points where I didn't think I had any, but seemed to pan out. Heather has definitely kept me more organized, then I would have been by myself. She still looks forward to doing artwork in the future.

I have lots of ideas for new stuff, and plan to reinstate some of the activities we used to do, which I think made this club great!

Happy New Year to everyone, and to ONSC!

Happy New Year from Low Country Land Cruisers...
Looking forward to wheeling with you guys this spring!!

Greg, I wanted to sit on this before posting.

I remember the first contact I made with you about the club and it built from there. I can't thank you enough for introducing me to this group of like-minded people, for educating me on Landcruisers and sharing the experiences we've all had as members.

You've established a legacy that we all hope will carry on for many years, have led the club to a new level and built upon the generosity of the collective wisdon of the members. Brian has some big shoes to fill and we all know he is up to the task, yet it can be intimidating to be the successor to your determination and hard work.

Now that you've started a new journey, I know you'll be successful on that path, one I'm excited for you to enjoy with Shelly...

Greg, I too wanted to thank you for your vision of what a club should be. I have trolled around several forums for years after helping get a OHV club started and spent many hours helping get legislation through the system to get a trail system started. it can be long days, and drumming up support to keep progress moving forward can burn you out. But, one of the great things that makes ONSC unique is the comradery and openness of the members to share and help each other. it is like an extended family. I know Brian will step up and keep the family functional as we move on towards greater adventures.

To those still wondering who the BOD are this year, and don't want to go looking through the old posts they are:

President - Myself

VP Triangle - Jerry Davis
VP Triad - Stefan Hickok
VP Charlotte- David Miller
VP Mountains - Jason Free
VP Coastal - Adam Leidy

Treasurer - Allen Dickenson (I originally nominated Clint, but he didn't want it and Allen spoke up at a meeting!)
Membership Coordinator - Johnny C (what does C stand for anyway?)
Events Coordinator- Al "Yeti" Vann
Safety Coordinator- Eric Johnston
TLCA Rep : Ol' Greg Ashcroft
Website: Still Joe Micciche

So, I will reiterate, I did not intend on my nominations to be the be all end all, I was preventing another round of no one wanting to speak up. So, when nominated, anyone had the chance to reject it (much like Clint), and anyone could have spoke up to nominate!

So, that's how we've come to this... I know everyone will do a great job, regardless of who's in what position, because we're great at helping each other out, not being too critical (except with graba$$ing), and we're generally an easy going laid back bunch of guys out to have fun, wheel, and have a few cold ones.

So, to the New Year, the New BOD, and a great club!

You have done a great job Greg. I'm sure that legacy will continue. It's hard to believe it's been that long. Time flies when your having fun. Looking forward to seeing ONSC hit the 10 year mark.

Johnny Casale :D I am from (upstate ) NY but I have no relation to any mob families, that you know of anyway:p

Greg, I haven't had a chance to talk with you too much, but based both on how tight this group is and the fact that it has been active for this long means that you have done an exceptional job as President. There are certainly some big shoes to fill and I will do my best to fill them and then some.

Now if I can only get access to the BOD section on the forum:hhmm:

Johnny, go to user CP under Toyota Tech, and click on group memberships, then you will see ONSC-BOD. Request access and I will check it for the next few days and make sure you have access.

Let me know if there's anything else I can do. Thanks Greg!

Johnny, you are in good shape. Sorry it was on page 2 and I didn't realize we had that many requests.

If I have missed anyone else please let me know.
