I was doing some hardcore parking lot 4 wheeling at the local Napa. This'll teach me to back into a parking spot.

WTF????

prbably was already damaged. guess now's the time to upgrade to fine spline.

What are you doing actually driving that thing?
If you want to try to put it back together come on over. I'll be floating in the pool, but I can point you in the general direction of the axle shafts..........
:flipoff2: I'm scared to drive mine now.

Man, doing some EPW on Father's day, eh?
(Extreme Parkinglot Wheeling!)
Glad it and you are OK. Stuff like this that gets broken other times and finally fails on the road really scares me. You have any of your girls with you? Remember when Kyla broke my steering arm on her way to work? You will enjoy the thrill of daughters driving your rig soon. :)

Happy Father's Day all!

x2

I've got a fine spline axle from my first FJ40 with the splines ALMOST twisted off. Didn't find it until I needed the axle shaft for a trail spare. Needless to say, it didn't qualify for even trail spare after I saw that...

Yer pretty hardcore to be blowin' axle shafts in the parking lot. Or I've been wheeling the wrong NAPA parking lots... :)

Didn't attempt the old soda bottle zip tied to the top of the air cleaner trick?? One of these days someone is going to get a picture of that thing on the AAA hook. ;p

Turn signals and brake lights went on my "take the 25 to work day".
Combined with the holiday beach traffic, we used a lot of creative hand signals :flipoff2: at lunch today.............

Cam Gear, that sucks. :frown: The valves are probably OK......................but since you have to take everything down to get the cam out, may as well take off the head and check it all out. :crybaby:

I might have hardened seats installed if I have to pull the head. But I guess I could just do the cam gear if thats the problem and do a compression check once its all together to check for holes in pistons :D

I just tore down a 135 with no plans to ever put it back together, you need anything lemme know...
