When we attempted programming @dudemancool1904 fob a bunch of menus popped up to do it, but weren’t labeled intuitively and seems like the guessing wrong steps might cause issues. I’ve never done this before and don’t want to mess up someone else’s ride.

I’m going to try to do more YouTube searching about this because I’m curious as well

One thing I’ve seen mentioned in multiple YouTube videos is you need the pin to the key, which is supposedly on a barcode when you buy it

@jlm43 we’re gonna try again, preferably with a trickle charger on the battery. The main thing is model year 2019 and up requires an immobilizer PIN that is normally provided by the Toyota tech using a licensed copy of Techstream or TIS whatever it’s called now. From what I’ve read you can circumvent this by backing up a copy of the immobilizer profile which has the pin in it? Anyway pre 2019 its a lot easier.

Thanks for the info and keep us all posted. LX and RX are 2013’s and the GX is a 17 so I’m hopeful it works.

I’ll order one of the $60 aftermarket fobs from Amazon and see what I can sort out next week.

Here’s a YouTube I found about the process, on a slightly different model scanner but menus is same

Note: I have not done this myself or verified it yet:

First off…

Huge thanks to @misteracng for bringing this to my attention. Figured I’d share as many will likely benefit from it.

I got zero interest in needing a laptop to make tweaks to my truck...

Got it to try to disable the auto telescoping steering wheel, figured it was on Amazon, so if it didn’t work would just send it back

But it worked, and the more fiddling I’ve done with it, the more features I’ve found that I couldn’t access with Carista.

Can also program TPMS

The instructions are basically non-existent and not much online help either, and it’s not all that intuitive, but with some trial and error and fiddling, I’m pretty dang impressed, and I will keep this in the truck for sure!

$ for scale

Fake thread. I can't imagine posting a thread in the 200 series thread and not using any bill denomination less than a $100 bill.

We are 16 pin

As for menus, see my first couple posts

Got it hooked up to my 2008 4Runner and was able to scan the ABS code and know exactly which sensor is bad. I am unable to find any of the other options such as programming and options. Haven't hooked it up to my 2017 LX570

I had a stored ac and starter code, both I’m guessing from tapping the touchscreen and changing settings back and forth too quickly confusing the actuators and pressing the starter button but shifting out of park before the car started. Yea I gotta work on my patience…

Anybody try to hunt down AHC height offset utility or ACH pressure readings yet?

I just got mine also. Thanks for the tip! Played with it a few minutes. I'll probably change a few more settings later.

For now ...

1) Turned off the annoying seatbelt chime (you can also turn off the passenger warning for the seatbelt if it senses weight in the chair)
2) turned on the all windows UP/DOWN down feature - can be controlled w the key fob or the manual key
(you can even select to include or exclude the sunroof)

Would this work for the LX600? Lexus wouldn’t disable my seatbelt warning, but they did do the window and sunroof roll down option for me.

my door lock settings were stupid

two press to unlock
not unlocking on shift to P etc
volume of the beep sound

which i changed
Gotcha , thanks

Seriously? I can change all three of those through vehicle settings on the touchscreen on my ‘19.
