I was mistaken. It was your truck I saw at SCC. Those comments were meant for you. How did it do at Superlift?

I will just add my questions to your thread. Don't want to derail DanKunz thread...

Disassembled the AHC control panel and used the round knob to host the CB hookup. Turned out really cool.

A few simple projects and updated pics:

Got her back between steps on the rear bumper and side work. Bumper is still in cardboard but should be done by end of month:

Screws will be pulled and patched in front fenders (oversight):

Did a Cobra stealth install by hollowing out the AHC controls and mounting the CB hook up there:

Not yet :)

Don't you have the same color? *edit, I guess you don't...thought you did though*

Painting the lower sections stock was cost prohibitive, and with what I do the liner was a viable option (and goes back to old LC two tone heritage).

I like the lines as they are, very much.

No way! Not looking to mutilate, just modify into what I always dreamed of :)

I don't have enough southern in me to go full redneck!

Rattle can camo that beast!

Don't do it...I had a friend suggest we camo wrap our rig! I told him I'm not looking to go for a hunting red neck look right now. :D

Dan did you finish getting your CB installed? I just got my handheld. Looking forward to testing it out and seeing if the range is really as horrible as everyone says.

Yep, it is in. got a Cobra, here is the hook up. If you get an external antenna to use with a handheld it is tolerable, but I didn't want to take up my power port space and clutter things up with more cables.

I just wheeled the last trip with a handheld midland....and the range is that bad. There were times when I could see the guy in front of me but couldnt get a signal. I've got a firestick waiting to install. I guess I should get on top of that.

That's kinda what I was thinking. My mini is short on dash space already so a handheld will work much better for me. I read on some of the CB forums (these guys are hardcore. Kinda like us but with radios...) and everyone said the range was like 10 meters? That's seems a little crazy to me. Anyway, Dan, since you have yours in maybe we can test it out a little. If I need to get my hands on a firestick that's what I'll do. SouthernSS, how do you run the antenna to the handheld? Doesn't it have a hookup like the little antenna that's already on there?
