We thought we were in the home stretch for the rear parts install, but as the saying goes nothing ever goes right when you want it to.

Suffice it to say, we had to get creative a number of times and a number times we just had to destroy things... Er, at least modify things.

Dan has shed some light on the issues above.

That said, the GX is massive after the new suspension components. They truck easily grew by 2-2.5" before and after.

A couple of after shots:

@beno. Thanks again. Was along day but easier with your help.

How much did you have to adjust (raise from Factory height setting) the front icon coilovers to match the height of the rear Expedition Springs?

They were spot on out of the box.

Okay. Would you mind measuring from the center of your Hub to the fender when you get a chance? I'm just curious on exactly how much lift the rear gets with those springs since I want to install them on mine. I have the icon extended travel front coilovers and I don't think out-of-the-box they lifted the front of my GX much more than 2.5". I am wondering if I'm going to have to lift the front quite a bit to match these rear expedition Springs

Will do, once I pick her up from rack surgery today.

None available. Got a reman

New rack is in. Have to corner balance once I get the coilover tool. Then get the back arms done and measure pinion angle and she is done for a few years

Here we go! new rack, CV, coilovers...nice and flat CV angle.

And finally...35 mph through some 14" speed humps that are 4' wide...aside from hitting some fender plastic it rode nice:

Wrenching is sandals, pizza on the hood, and Milwaukee power tools! Looks like you guys had a good time. It's awesome to see the evolution of your GX build. I can't wait to hear more feedback about the new setup.

that's how we roll...lol

Interesting discovery...my ASFIR skidplate for the gas tank hits the DS upper link gusset. I was wondering where that loud PONG sound kept coming from. Nothing the sawzall can't fix!

So you say you have a nice flat cv angle, do you run any diff drop or anything with your lift?
I would hate to do a diff drop, but I just want to make sure the cv angle will be ok lifting my front another 1" to 1.5"

I have an acceptable angle. I also have brand new CVs so they will wear in at whatever I set them to vs. changing an existing angle.

No diff drop.

Oh ok perfect, I did new CVs at the same time as my lift.

Corner balanced. 1" higher in back. Nice rake, awesome look. 40" ground to fender up front, 41" ground to fender in back.
