Looks great, love the hight

Now I am not sure about Icon after I was told what they want for service intervals on there shocks. After talking to them, I would be pulling my every 12-24 months, they told me about every 30k miles.
Do you plan to follow their recommendations?

Wow!

Can we get a bumper to bumper comparison pic of your GX and your 80?

And I haven't even done the lift refresh yet...that is tomorrow lol

Tomorrow we want MOAR!

I wanted to go with the 3 inch coils but height restrictions kept me from it. Also I really want those wheels.

Hey Dan, why the new drive shafts? Did you ever consider replacing the u-joints? I am getting a vibration under power and am considering just replacing u-joints any reason not to start there?

No one will rebuild lexus driveshafts.

Copy that, do you have the part numbers for the driveshafts?

Lessons learned from my refresh:

- Bump stops rust in, use PB Blaster. I had to drill new holes and mount the timbrens next to the stock location to make it work.
- The front is the most complex, but the easiest once you know how to R&R it.
- ASFIR skids (gas tank) hit the axle. BOO, I cut 3" off.
- I am working on the Metal Tech control arms (long travel). I couldn't make them work.
- The front driveshaft likes to drop the nuts into the crossmember...pain
- My front drive shaft was HOSED. The ujoints were floppy. Glad I replace it.
- 34x10.50R17 BFG AT KO2s could be the coolest tire for the GX. I love them.
- Icons are worth the money. They are soft, comfy, controlled, and insanely cool.

It pays to know how to do the IFS carefully, and methodically. Take the ABS wire off the plug, remove the 2 retaining brackets and no worries.

Well, woke up to confirm a suspicion I had had for a while. Moaning while turning, hard to maintain alignment.

Rack is leaking (saw the wet this AM post flush). Inner tie rods are done too.

Rack is on the way for Monday install. This truck will be brand new by the time I get done with all this lol

Looking good, how many miles do you have on her?

168k

Was it moaning only when turing hard (full lock) or all the time?
Are you going with a new OEM rack?
I think I have to do mine soon, I have new inner tie rods waiting to go on and I know i need bushings, but at 160k I am thinking it might need a new rack soon anyways, especially with bigger tires.

Only when turning. Wet at the rack ends by the inners

About 60% of the turn

Some pictures of the beef from Friday.

Dan and I are kindred spirits since both of us turn wrenches with sandals on. He's a Mephisto man, I'm more of a Teva dude. :)
