i have brought a 89 GXL and have found the window mechanism have rusted out in the doors in various stages and surface rust on inside of doors, I'm thinking about swapping out all four doors with second hand ones i figure might be an easier solution then the fiddly job trying to fix all the mechanism and fight a life long battle with rust.
would love to know if any one else has had this problem?

also I'm not really a fan of electric windows and the full window in particular I prefer the older version with the triangle window vent and the roll up windows, if I got windows from a earlier model say G or GX would they still fit on the GXL?

would love to know people thoughts

just switch out the mechanisms...they are cheap and avail. Clean the rust on the inside of the doors and treat.
