I like it. did you think about making it out of plexiglass so you could use the light bar when needed?

Thanks. I thought about it. I wasn’t sure how well the light would shine through the plexiglass after it started to catch rock chips and bugs. I also like the look of a plain black fairing. If this one doesn’t hold up well, I may take a good look at that option.

^ well done! looks great, i also don't like the RR fairing tucked under the deck...
i may look into this mod sometime, I like it

Final wrap up on the wind fairing. I got it painted, and door trim put around the edges. I took the GX out on the interstate for a 70-80mph test and it virtually eliminates all wind noise, plus the sunroof is usable again. I am very pleased with how it turned out, and I like the look. I will be removing the light bar and going with ditch lights at some point. It served its purpose well for 4 years, and it’s time to change things up.

Had some spare plastic left over from the wind fairing project, decided to cover up some of the wide open space in the front wheel well since I have trimmed bumpers. I don’t have a snorkel, and felt this area was pretty exposed. Covered up a foot of open space, of course it won’t take the place of a snorkel, but it should definitely help with wheel splash and it is no longer a chute straight up to the air intake, and still plenty of room for engine air. You can’t tell it’s there unless you lay under the truck.

pix didn't load though.

I finally got around to installing new UCA from Ironman 4x4. I had been running stock UCA with my foam cell pro suspension, and I can already tell a difference in handling, I should have done this 20k miles ago. The job took about 2 hours, and I wasn’t bad at all for my first time doing UCA.

After alignment, I noticed the truck was pulling hard right when braking. The shop who did alignment said the bushings were toast after another alignment attempt, so I ordered replacement OEM LCA and replaced myself. What should’ve been a relatively easy job, turned into an all day event after two cam bolts had to be cut out. It drives really good now at 160k miles with new UCA and LCA.

I finally got the front end wrapped up yesterday. I added the Ironman bull bar, and smittybilt x20 10k winch over the last couple of weeks. I cleaned up the fender cuts with edging, and got the fogs wired up. So far my foam cell pro medium springs haven’t settled a whole lot, and the ride is comfortable. I am sitting on an unboxed set of heavy springs, not sure if or when I will swap those out. The winch dropped right in from the top, I did not have to remove the bumper shell. I’m pretty pleased with how it turned out. Next up is tube bumper tire carrier from Truth North Fab that I have been waiting on since January.

I haven’t posted in a while, the rear tube bumper from True North arrived in the Fall, I’ve been pretty pleased with it. No future mods on the horizon, just enjoying the truck.
