I rejoined the LC world Monday and bought a ‘23 GX460. Had a ‘96 80 series a few years back and have always missed it. It will be my DD.

I hit 100k today, also hit the trail a few miles from work and made a joke about finding a place to do vehicle inspections

Welcome! Coming from an 80 series, you'll truly appreciate ALL the finer amenities this offers while still keeping darn near the same rugged off road ability as your 80.
My wife and I came from a couple of 100 series as were blown away by how much better our GX is in almost every way.

I ordered a bunch of generic led 168 bulbs. 30 for $6

After driving around lifted for the last 2 1/2 years, I finally got around to installing the DR. KDSS BOTCK: Bolt On Trackbar Correction Kit this afternoon.

Also removed the factory spare tire that I've been lugging around all this time too. Maybe I'll regain 1 MPG lol

Hi everyone, new GX460 owner here. I've owned a string of 4Runners, my favorite was my 2018 with the Magnuson supercharger, we loved the better seats of the Lexus and the V8 is just so smooth, we didn't care for the previous model's interior but I think this version is spot on.

We drove up to Flagstaff, can't wait to explore more. Do I plan any mods? Uhm... pff... I don't know. Let's not jinx anything with famous last words haha... we'll see. If yes there will be a thread.

The truck is really only held back by its approach, breakover and departure angles. Beyond that it's very capable in stock form even with all seasons.

Thank you. My 4R also ran on Grandtreks but the 17" with much more sidewall gave me a bit more confidence on trails. Any precautions with my new 19"... air down? or is that more risky for the rim due to the much narrower sidewall? Sorry if it is a noob question...

I wouldn't air down on a 19, too much risk of a sidewall pinch in my opinion. In fact that's probably the thing I would worry about the most.

Its not noob question, right idea, just not an ideal tire/wheel combo to execute it on.

If there's one "mod" I tell friends who want to get out and explore its a driver mod, just learn to take it at your own pace. Avoid potholes, an drive pretty far ahead.

If you've got the driver mod down, wheels and tires. Some smaller wheels, and all terrains will allow you air down.

Welcome to the addiction!

Maybe minimum, some slightly larger more aggressive tires?
