Is this ok? I needed new tires and my F-Sport wheels were peeling terribly, so I found a fellow that had taken these off and had new Michelins on them. I couldn't pass up the bargain, but I never thought about anything beyond lug pattern. I'm waiting patiently for the tread to wear down so I can get some BFGs. I kind of love the backdated look, but I might just be trying to convince myself.

Had 470 wheels on mine for a while, I liked the look, 17” tire choices and that it was diffferent. Have since upgraded to some SCS wheels.

Doesn't look half bad to me, but I also had RX-7 wheels on my 2013 NC Miata so backdating is a-ok in my book overall

I more or less did the same thing. I bought take off steelies off of ebay for less than $400 shipped for 5 wheels. Plus 17s give you more sidewall so they ride better.

I actually stole your idea for my spare. I kinda dig it. Also installed the Perry Parts bumpstops. We'll see how these hold up.

They are fairly light for steelies, at 30 lbs, which is also a plus. I dig the utilitarian look and all my 5 lugs had similar steelies so it's also nostalgic/retro to me in a way.

I have a huge soft spot for steelies on Toyotas thanks to my first 4th gen 4Runner having them:

Lookin good. After my last trail ride I got to see what my wheels look like in tan as well. Not bad with the silver paint. They were perfectly covered. (For the record they are gun metal usually)

Found a quiet corner in the South Sierras to spend a couple of nights with my family. Still a lot of snow up there, and a lot of locked gates, but with a good map and some dedication you can still find some space to yourself.

Took a 450ish mile trip into the northern Nevada high desert, about 150 miles of which was on dirt, trying to outrun thunderstorms. Went from Reno > Gerlach > Cedarville > Massacre Rim > Boulder Reservoir

Out and about for some spring water and some product photography, the wife got some time doing some more technical 2 track with her GX. Occasionally I take an alright photo of her truck.
