Interesting, was the atrac working? Center diff locked? Surprised that you had trouble on that hill. Could be the camera angle too because it didn’t look terribly difficult.

Yeah I was a bit surprised as well. I was locked in 4lo and kept in the throttle hoping that Atrac would kick in. I even had the MTS set to loose rock. The only thing I didnt try was turning on Crawl control. If I go back anytime soon I am going to spend some time on this hill trying to figure it out. This was the only spot I really had trouble with. The back tire was spinning quite a bit, had it been locked I think it would have ended differently.

Interesting, it didn’t look like atrac kicked in at all. Crawl control should force the atrac to work but it should kick in when you lose traction. Also try the old school poor man locker/atrac, left foot covering the brake a little

Also, how did you get your thread in the "Build" category with the gray "Build" tag?

No I currently don’t have lockers. I was hoping the A-Trac would kick in but no dice.
I’m not sure about the build tag I logged in one day and it was there. Maybe the admins went through and flagged the builds at one point.

The settings in MTS are gradual from least to most intrusive on using ATRAC/ABS to stop wheel spin (from least to most aggressive: Mud & Sand > Loose Rock > Mogul > Rock). I've found MTS in 'Rock' is the most helpful. I get much less wheel spin going up hills like the one in your video, even less spin if you use the crawl control. MTS in 'Rock' is a noticeable difference compared to the plain default ATRAC settings on my 460 and my old 4th gen 4Runner.

I am working on getting the ARB dual compressor mounted under the hood. This is requiring me to do some reworking of the electrical that I have already done. When I went to Rago Fabrications so they could use my vehicle to design the 460 ditch brackets Mario gave me the prototype mount they used to design the 5th gen 4Runner compressor mount. This weekend I pulled out the fuse panel I had installed previously and test fitted the compressor mount.
I found that everything lined up perfectly. Last week I got a sweet deal on a switch pro that will allow me to remove the fuse panel and light controller I have currently. The Rago mount is designed to mount the switch pro directly to the mount in the back near the firewall. All I need to do now is figure out where I can mount a new bluesea fuse box.
The guy that I purchased the compressor from had removed it from a GX470, so he sent it along with the slee 470 mount and the manifold for adding lockers. I plan on adding lockers here in the near future when I change out my gears. I cut off the manifold mount from the slee bracket and welded it to the Rago mount. All I need now is the switch pro which should be here this week.

Also a few weeks ago I relocated the backup camera and added an Led light in the rear door with a power panel. Here are a few pictures of that project.

I picked up the SSO kit for the 5th gen 4Runner. I had to modify it slightly to get it to work but I am happy with the finished product.

HitchCrack, you and I are on the same page with what you're doing! Except with a minor twist.
I too only see my spare tire and just a peek of what's behind me.
Since I have the same rear bumper as you with the same features, you'll know what I'm talking about.
I plan on adding a small bar to where my HAM radio antenna mount is attached so it extends to between the spare tire and my jerry can racks. I plan on mounting my camera to to that. I've also considered maybe using an aftermarket camera that has the delineation lines for distance.

Also, since you did a little show-and-tell of your console, I thought I'd share what I've done with my center console:
The left is my Yaesu FTM-400XD HAM radio and the contraption-thingy on the right is my wireless charging phone holder. Since I never use that useless (my opinion only) slide down audio controls, I just mounted them on that with double back tape. Works awesome! Easy to read, out of the way and not intrusive or too ugly (that may be relative).

Thanks for the heads up! The charging cable is pretty darn thick.
Also, as a side note, I love this charger because:
Note: I just used the heavy duty double back tape (usually used for mirror squares) to mount it. It's very sturdy.
Also, as a side note, I love this charger because:
- I can just set my phone in and remove it with one hand. When the phone rests on the bottom bumpers, it causes the sides to move inward and clasp the phone on the sides. When you remove the phone, unweighting the phone from the bottom bumpers allows the sides to open up again. Easy-peasy!
- I never have to plug it in! Just drop it in and it starts wireless charging.
- It's the fast charge design (5amp) so even if I'm using Google maps and streaming music via Bluetooth from my phone, it will still charge and hold at 100% when it's topped off.

Finished up the install on the Compressor and switch-pro this weekend. I am looking for a better alternative to where the switch panel is mounted. I have ordered a GX470 bezel that mounts in the sunglass pocket and will see if I can modify it for the 460.
