Anybody heard anything on details for the GX 550 hybrid in North America?

Wondering:
- release timing
- prob the same setup as the 250, but what transmission?
- same power/tuning as the 250?
- will we see a hybrid Overtrail?
- higher or lower priced than the TTV6?

GX is gonna get the Hybrid twin scroll 5.7 from the 200.......so add two turbos and two inline electric motors off the front and rear of the tcase 750hp and 1000ftlbs tq......and 10.5" trundra axles front and rear. Unfortunately- its getting a name change to the GR RAV4 Heritage edition.

But it'd be BOF - the RAV4 purists are gonna have a field day with a large, non-efficient RAV4 with too many cupholders. They'd deem it not worthy of the RAV4 name.

What's crazy is, I want the GX550 Over trail + but dealerships are trying to extort 10K above MSRP. I live in North Jersey and my dealership that I purchased my LX570 is playing games with me. Lexus of Allentown PA is great No overcharging above MSRP at all.

That's nuts, I have way too many overtrail plus allocations and I'm in TX, you could take one of my allocations and shipping would probably be 1500$

I am not a dealer, but i dont see why you couldnt ship the car

I reserved too many allocations last year. expecting a delivery in june july, not this soon

Uh guys, Isn't the GX 550 actually the 300 series Land Cruiser? Different beast than the Prado based 250.
Edit: That's the gx600. I'll go back to the old stuff threads.

Clip from a recent Car & Driver article. If true about the seat memory this may make the base OT the one to get over the OT+… not sure $8k is worth it for some massaging seats and from what others have said, a disappointing Mark Levinson sound system.

I never understood the need for Lexus removing standard features that previous generations had, and then slowly reintroduce them back as standard kit as means of "we have improved The vehicle" or give corporate cousins better kit like three zone climate control (lc has three zone and 2 rows of seat as well but only the gx gets that removed)? Sometimes it feels as though Lexus is being neglected on purpose, but folks dont care cause they dont know any better.

Soon they'll make ekdss standard i assume and call it magical?
