It’s the last available 200s so I’m not surprised. I read another article that once announced the twin turbo V8 diesel would no longer be offered they surged and affected the 79 series production, to complete the last ordered 200s.

Wow, looks like the 150 series will be closing out its life cycle with strong sales numbers!
 
I think 2022 may be the last 150 series before moving onto a 170??? series. Or whatever the next series designation will be.

Looks like the Prado/GX/4Runner could be delayed for another year. So model year 2024? Good news, bad news? Good news the 4.6 V8 will be around for another year. The bad news is no new model. If the Prado 170 is less offroad worthy then we will have newer Prado 150s longer.

Toyota is going to get its clock cleaned by Jeep and Ford if the 4Runner isn't competitive with the Jeep JL and Bronco.

I'm going to side with Toyota/Lexus market research. I don't think those target audiences (New, off-the-lot GX buyers and new, off-the-lot Jeep/Bronco buyers) overlap nearly as much as us second-hand GX buyers and off-roaders want to think they do...
 
I bet every one sold WAY over MSRP. My local dealer had a $12,000.00 dealer package.
It would be interesting to know the average sale price.
 
Glad they are still popular with the soccer mom's. It's great being able to buy a 6 year old GX in near mint condition that's been washed frequently, so no rust.

Top bad Toyota won’t leave it as it is LOL. Just add CarPlay and some electric motors to the existing drivetrain. CLEARLY people love the GX shortcomings and all

I'd take a factory locking rear diff, 4:10 gears 32" tires and a GXOR package for 2022.
