Is someone bringing the deep fryer? I have a turkey to donate to the cause.

I have a turkey fryer and a couple gallons of peanut oil left over from my Super Bowl party. It's probably not enough to submerge a 12-14 pound turkey but willing to bring it if some wants to bring a couple more gallons. I also have a killer fried turkey seasoning my father in-law buys out of the back of an Ace hardware store in South Carolina...mmmmmm....

How much more oil will it take ? I got 3 gallons of Rotella! Just kidding. I'll see if I can get some oil. Is it just cooking oil?

It's got to be pure peanut oil. Highest smoke temperature of all the oils. I'd say we need another 3 gallons. And since we'll have this good oil we should think of other things we can fry for any other meal, or side dishes (fries, wings, ocra, corn dogs, deep fried snickers, etc).

Only 10 days left to pre-register for GSMTR. We will have onsite registration at $55; onsite registration does not include an event shirt, event t-shirts will be available to buy at the event while supplies last. Our major sponsors, ACC, IPOR, Lowe Toyota, TPI, Southeast Overland and Trollhole Cruisers are bringing lots of great raffle prizes and from our other supporting sponsors we have already received over $3000 worth of great prizes and giveaways. There will be a coupon in your driver’s bag for a free ACC Toyota T-shirt.

Is anyone who is going to GSMTR going to be passing through Warrenton any time before leaving for TN? I have a gift for Roger that I've been hanging on to for years but I haven't made it back to GSMTR to deliver it.

Jon stopped by today so I sent the gift with him so all is good. Sorry I won't make it (again);I hope you all have a great time and win big at the raffle.

It's official. Bob anointed us. We're gonna win stuff!!!!:D

I was thinking I would donate the saginaw mounting plate I won at fall crawl... Is that considered regifting? I can't seem to sell it.

They take donations, and don't care if you won it at another raffle. I gave them some shirts, hats, and FJ40 Matchbox trucks last year. You can donate it in your name or club's if you wish.

Good to know, thanks

I'm ready to go!

Just kidding. I'm starting this weekend to get my camp things around. Thinking about bringing my company generator and welder. (Just in case ) but figured someone else will have one.

I just dropped off my truck at Brian Murphy's in Warrenton to get my exhaust leaks fixed. He may help me with my electrical too if there's time and I can figure out last detail on my dual battery setup. Anyone have any ideas on how to secure spare axles for transportation without drawers? Also, would you prepack bird's or just bring a tube of grease? (now I'm really jinxing myself). Could I get someone who is trailering to transport the propane and turkey fryer? I'd rather not drive with them in the cab if I can help it. I plan on being at the meeting on the 1st and could drop them off then.

Patrick
