I just dropped off my truck at Brian Murphy's in Warrenton to get my exhaust leaks fixed. He may help me with my electrical too if there's time and I can figure out last detail on my dual battery setup. Anyone have any ideas on how to secure spare axles for transportation without drawers? Also, would you prepack bird's or just bring a tube of grease? (now I'm really jinxing myself). Could I get someone who is trailering to transport the propane and turkey fryer? I'd rather not drive with them in the cab if I can help it. I plan on being at the meeting on the 1st and could drop them off then.

Pack the axles on the bottom. You can prepack your burfs and bring a bucket of grease. (a medium spatula worksgreat to clean out axle housing.) I may be able to pack the propain and fryer. I'll have to get a truck the fryer will not fit in my car it is full.

Prepack birfs and put them in a large sandwich bag with a rubberband to hold it closed. For the axles, just strap them together and bungy the to the floor with your cargo tiedowns.

We should take some time at the meeting to finalize a couple details. Menu, travel time, tools, parts

So it doesn't look like my sliders are going to make it here before we leave. I assume there are some trails that are not likely to cause rocker damage where we're going?

In fact that's what I was thinking. I was going to ship them to my in-law's house in Knoxville but MT doesn't think they'll get there until the 10th at the earliest. Pretty bummed out.

Are they coming UPS? If so I (might) be able to grab them while at work and I could bring them on Thursday! I Just need a tracking #. You can put a hold on them in Knoxville and pick them up there. Just an idea... Let me know if I can help in any way. Rance

They haven't shipped yet. Not going to the powder coater until next week. I wonder if they'd give me $100 off and ship them raw, then POR15 and line them like I did my IPOR sliders? What are people's thoughts on powder coating sliders? I didn't do it with my last ones so don't know.

I vote against powder coating. Once chipped, rust will move under it. Been there, done that. Painting is the best option for this situation. Scrape some paint off? No big deal, just paint and go. Scrape some powder coat off, you'll wind up painting the bald spot anyways and the rust will still spread out underneath.

I'd say bring plenty of brake cleaner/lacquer thinner, primer, and gloss black and install.

I'd go with what the old dude said up above.

Spray paint. If you really want the extra edge, use multiple colors so it looks like a circus pig

I like that color scheme!

Raw sliders shipping today or Monday. Looks like they'll make it here in 5 days. Now to google "circus pig colors."

I've got some Safty Orange paint. That would look SWEET! On your sliders.

Just registered! Hopefully I can get this new cb installed in time. Anyone have a meter to tune this thing? I have never tuned one before, but it doesn't look too hard.

I just got one. Tuned my cruiser cb. Still have to do my Toy hauler cb. You coming to the meeting. Or I can meet up with you next week and get it back at GSMTR.

Is anyone in the Burke vicinity going to the meeting tomorrow? I can't make it but I'd like to drop off the turkey fryer and propane tank to get on some one's trailer (or tow rig) for the ride down.
