So I called Toyota to buy my elocker and they told me the (discounted) price is $1250 or something, which is somewhat more than many have said in the past.

Then today Jim at inchwormgear tells me the part number I've been asking about (41110-3D030) is for the 8" pickup/4runner diff, not the cruiser stuff! :bang:

So what is the right number for the elocker third for a cruiser???

Looking at the EPC, the closest I can find is for an 88 BJ70:

41110 CARRIER ASSY, DIFFERENTIAL, REAR
41110‑60230 BJ7*, HJ75, FJ7*..RHD..(ARL, GEN); *AXC=K084, *FGR=37:9, W/*DL 1
41110‑60231 BJ7*, HJ75, FJ7*..ARL, GEN, ME; *AXC=K084, *FGR=37:9, W/*DL 1

Which of those is correct, or is there a newer p/n from a later year? I wanna make sure I have my s*** together before Toyota tells me how wrong I am... again.

last time I was at cabe, mike b. told me that the prices went up about 25-30% on the 80 series e-lockers. What used to be $810 is now $1160 or so.

Hmm.

Ok then, looking at a 1996 80-series, the p/n seems to be:

41110 CARRIER ASSY, DIFFERENTIAL, REAR
41110‑60350 FZJ80; *FGR=41:10=4.100, W(*RDL) 1
41110‑60350 FZJ80; *FGR=41:10=4.100, W(*RDL) 1

Yes/no/maybe?

this is what showed up when i did a mass search of those numbers (41110‑60350 ,41110‑60230 )
in the EPC for the U.S. market. see pic. don't no if this is helpful i guess the U.S. market EPC skips info about the 70 series. hope i'm not adding to the confusion. Jake out

I used the following on my '40:

Locker Assy:
FZJ80/FJ80 '93-'97 rear electric locking diff; 9.25" ring gear that fits into the front of my 1977 FJ40 with stock diff gears, 4.11 is p/n: 41110-60351

Front Axle:
PN: 43412-60060, the front Long side inner axle from a 70 series, pre 1991, non-us

When I did mine in '03-04?, the locker was about $800, and the axle about $200.

I was talking to cruiser parts about 1.5 years ago, they have used e-locking 80 rear diff for $500, and downey has the cable conversion kit for about 150.

Tired talking with Cdan? 800 432 6668 press 8 for Dan.

I was told that they were going away a year or so ago now...

Just another novelty...

:meh:

correction, they found 41110-60351, which is superceded by 41110-60352.... for 1800 bucks!!! im assuming thats list price but they went all crosseyed when i asked about discounts. :(

Longs sells chromo long side elocker axles as an alternative to stock. Check him out for price.

what about the 100 series does it fit in ? it shows a different part # for the 3rd with locker for the 100 series .. i did a cross reference search of just the carrier housing and it show that some of the 70 series share the same carrier assembly as the 100 series locker. just curious if they might be compatible ? or is only the 80 series locker compatible? may get a different price quote for a 100 series locker.

CONFIRMED by CDan: he personally sold the last 80 series lockers in sept. (41110-60352 was the latest and greatest part number) there are no more and no supercessions. s***.

If you go that route, be sure to ask they supply the collar that does the locking and the shift fork that moves it. Took awhile to get straightened out...

Only for a full 30-spline set. You've got to upgrade all the way across, but the price is not bad for what you get.

Mudrack has a few of the chromo replacement that's 30 long splines at the locker end and 27 spline (right?) at the birf end. He wants around $200 for them.
