Eh eh, I thought the rotting part would get your attention!
Yup, you probably have it: the dreaded weatherstrip gap on the rearmost vertical side of the rear side windows! Likely due to rubber shrinking, but provides an easy way for water to get under the rubber seal and start rotting your sheet metal, unseen by you. Shudder!
Sooo, one could fill it all up with goop, but will look terrible. Better is to get a small piece of original seal, cut to length and fill the gap with that plus some unseen goop.
CDan has very kindly offered to cut up a seal and sell the pieces prorata. Cost is about $50 for the whole part I think. Probably 6' long I imagine, so could accommodate upwards of 30 people. There'd be some shipping costs involved and lots of IOUs to Dan for being a good sport. He'll likely fill in with details after this.
Why don't all of you who are interested in this just post here with how much length you'd need so we can see if it's worth considering?
I only need about 2" total.
Anybody else?
Eric
PS: goes without saying but if there are more applicants than inches, we go by chronological order of posts...
