Update 1/24/2012. Week ago I placed the order for 20 sets but i got conformation yesterday that they got only 10 sets. So now i have to find new supplier for it again. The reason it takes so long that i am not working with official Toyota dealership; I work with parts resellers due to the price. Price from dealership is around $70-80 cable only.

I will pm the following people by the end of this week as i have exam Thursday.

My relatives from Europe are going to visit my family in February(second half) and they can bring some small parts with them. So we wont have to pay for shipping from Europe to North America. Since the Slee is out of Hand Throttles for 80 series and SOR is over priced. I was thinking that it will be good idea to make a group buy for Hand Throttles.

The set will include parts for LHD 80 series:

78410-60090 CABLE ASSY, THROTTLE CONTROL
78402-60030 KNOB, THROTTLE CONTROL CABLE
90179-14032 NUT



Price will be $50 shipped to your door in USA&CANADA. You should expect to get your Hand Throttle first half of March. Once I receive them I will let you know more details on when exactly you will receive it.


I asked seller about bulk discount and he told me that if we will order more than 15 he may give us some small discount.


UPDATE 10/01/2012: 5am update I am in process of checking availability for these parts right now. My supplier will get back to me later next week with the numbers. Today was the first day they were open after the holidays.

Ok guys a bit of update and clarification here. I haven't secured another 20 yet. I placed an order and it doesn't mean that i will get 20. I may get 0-20, but i wont know until mid next week when my supplier will get conformation from his warehouse on how many sets they sent to him. So i have only 10 sets right now and will keep my fingers crossed that the warehouse got more sets. I wont try to explain their supply chain system as it's weird and complicated.

For the people who are not on the list please just put your name here that you are interested and i will put you in line as i cannot longer edit my first post.

I found one supplier that is telling me that he can order Hand Throttles directly from Toyota's warehouse in Japan and if there is not enough of them in stock, he can order them for production but in this case price will go up by $5-10.

If I will avoid price increase i will have to ask my supplier to check his warehouse every week or two to see if they got new stock. It may take a very long time to get 100+ So i will try to post a poll in the thread to see if you guys dont mind to wait or you are ok with the price increase. So please participate in the poll.

So participate in the poll when it gets available and lets hope that my supplier's warehouse got unlimited stock of the cheap hand throttles if not than we can try to make Toyota make them for us but at the higher cost
