Very nice! Seems like you banged that project out pretty quick? Did you have help?

Yes, had a buddy help me out. It was humorous watching two physically broken guys in their 40’s struggle with how bad our joints are. Haha.

Regarding the pain and joints, I here ya brother!

Progress pics... Have left over parts I’ll never need and dunno what to do with.

Any plans for a winch?

I really like that grill! 😍

Did you have any issue installing the sensors? I would say sell the parts and pay for more toys.
The bumper cover is repairable so it’s sellable.

Glad you like the Pedal Commander ... I'm skeptical!

Bumper looks awesome.
You'll love it. We did a fly-and-drive to Alabama to pick up the GX and bring it home to AZ. I knew my wife wouldn't like the pedal lag, so I brought the PC with me. Two hours after buying the rig, we stopped at her old family cemetery outside Tuscaloosa. While she was out visiting great-great-great grand-daddy, I installed the Pedal Commander and set it to Sport+2. She flung gravel from all 4 on the way out past the church, and it put a smile on her face!

The sensors and little circular housings are brittle as hell. One sensor had one of the clips crack and one of the circular things cracked but otherwise once installed they aren’t going anywhere. It’s a very tight fit.

Overall I’m amazed at how in ~10 years some of this plastic is this brittle.

I've rattled the sensors out of their plastic housings a couple of times on really bad washboard roads. They just pop back in!
Albeit, I should try to find a more secure way of keeping them in.

There's no way these are coming out unless they break. I wasn't completely square with one in the right orientation and I couldn't even remove it to try again without breaking it. Haha.

I would recommend using clear latex caulk. ( Not silicone). In 8 years of off road racing it always worked and could be cut clear for removal easily. Silicone and some plastic and electronics don’t mix.

Thanks for the heads up on this . I will be doing my bumper soon. 👍🏼

Great tip! I'll get some.
Thanks!

I'm going to be giving away these two items (2010 bumper and crash support bar) circled in red as-is FOR FREE for anyone local who wants to come get them. I cannot ship due to the size and weight and I do not want to take any parts off to part out. I'll give it 7-10 days before these go out in the trash. I'm about an hour east of the DFW metroplex in Texas. You can read in this topic about the damage on the driver's side of the front bumper and it seems to be repairable? I'm not a bodywork tech so I am not sure. Both foglights still worked before I disconnected the harness though the driver's side fog light took some of the impact and is likely not entirely usable minus the bulb.

If you can donate it to some type of charity, try to get a price (high) on it and write if off your taxes!
