One of the best reasons for a bumper upgrade lol.

Indeed. Gotta find the right one! I’d like one that is a direct replacement that requires no cutting.

From the looks of your "kiss", can you still use the upper half of your bumper with the other designs out there?
It doesn't look like you have any scratches on the upper half and it should be easy enough to reattach to the wheel well.

Well I kissed a guard rail @ 2mph so it’s time to think about off-road bumpers sooner rather than later.

Other than the metal tech, what other off-road bumpers require no cutting and is a direct bolt on replacement?

Demello Offroad and Victory 4x4 are both developing bumpers for the 460 at the moment. It seems like Victory is a little further along in the design process (they have a thread started in this forum if you haven't seen that yet). Not sure if either will require cutting or be bolt on replacements (I think Victory might be a direct replacement with filler plates), but like r2m said, if you're planning on tossing the damaged front bumper anyway, you might as well savage the top part to use with an Ironman or something similar.

Didn’t look any closer so I dunno if any dmg occurred with the edge push pin holes. Plus *I* don’t want to cut that, I’d have a shop do it which would be cost prohibitive no? I like the idea of taking the factory stuff off and bolting up the new off-road bumper. Hah

I’ve been loosely following those, but I will need something sooner rather than later.

Fair enough. I think you're only option would be Metaltech in that case. If I ever get a front bumper, I'd like to keep my front bumper intact as well. I will say though, I'm betting you could find a black front bumper if you look around salvage yards and whatnot. Might make you feel better about cutting your damaged one if you ever wanted to go back to stock.

I think most of the bumpers coming out are "cut bumpers" using some portion of the factory bumper. The Metal Tech and Ironman are heavy bumpers. I think the Ironman comes in around 200 with the winch cradle. I was looking on Victories website tonight and seen there 5th gen 4Runner bumper with bars weighs in around 125. Demello's 2nd gen Taco bumper is around the same. Could be worth waiting a month or two.

Oh man, that sucks! But like this thread inevitably went to ... silver lining is you get to buy upgrades!
Correction, hopefully the 'insurance company" will pay for the upgrades!! 👍

AAA Texas is STINGY and will only write a check to the body shop and will ask for a picture of the repairs when done. I won’t get to use that money for what I want.

My deductible is $500, which isn’t as high as I was thinking. Either way I think I’m going to just buy the metal tech Talon bumper and try to install it myself. I hope they can cut me a deal...

Did the necropsy and the holes for the push pin clips are broken so cannot use this bumper anyway if I were to cut it So metal tech it is!

Looking forward to the new "face-lift"!

Thank you for sharing your build and all the links to everything. This will be a lot of help once I move back to the US this summer and get my GX!

Absolutely! I whoping that would help someone else.

Looking forward to the new "face-lift"!

Me too, though not looking forward to the BILL!

Ok s*** got real today. Had the bumper in my cart overnight and was greeted with a 5% coupon in my inbox this afternoon, so I promptly used it. Hopefully it won’t take long to ship.

She's the one that told me to go ahead and buy it now and not wait. I emailed the company and since steel prices have apparently gone up 50% in 2021 so they were going to raise the price in March accordingly.

I’m torn on which light pattern (and color) to go with. I’m going back and forth between these...

Thoughts?

I like diffused for backup lights.

See if you can purchase the Rigid SAE model. They are street legal driving lights.
