Yeah, it cut off and would not start back up for me to try and get out of my "river crossing" with my oldest daughter.

So I called Eric (fourtrax) and we tried for an hour or so to get me out...then we gave up and went for a chainsaw, and I called Greg who is on his way to my house now :bang: to help.

More to come later....Greg and Eric, THANKS in advance.

Brad

Bummer Brad, wish I was in town this sounds like a good opp to try out my new Christmas winch.

Hope all works out (and that the water is not too cold!)

Brad I'm in your 'hood, woulda been glad to help.

Now you are required to post pictures. :)

Yeah, thanks again Greg and Eric, I will post some pics in the morning, my wife got a few pretty good ones...now to search for troubleshooting no spark :)

Damn, I would have loved to help. The 8274-50 has a lot of cable on her too! Can't wait to see pics. I guess I at least got to watch a good playoff game anyway. Hope everything is ok on the truck man!

Glad you got it home.. I'm thinking coil or points. with key off. Put ohm meter on coil two outside leads pos and neg. resistance 0.5 - 0.7. Next hook up pos. and middle terminal resistance should be 11.5 -1 5.5

glad you got it home brad..

sounds like it was an adventure.. haha

hope you get her runnin soon!

mornings come and gone.... where are the pic's? also I misplaced a black D-ring, let me know if you got it.

Eric, Brad should have your D-ring, I handed it to him when we got back to the house last night.

My pics are no good, Sorry....I was more concerned with getting the truck out and the picture taking suffered.

Brad, I think you mentioned you had a few, the repairs can wait.....get those pictures posted :meh::meh::meh:

Updated with pics

Hi All,

Sorry for the delay in getting the pics up. Here are a couple and a link to the rest. Most are pretty crappy as it was getting dark and my wife did not know how to turn the flash off. :D

Another BIG thanks to Greg and Eric for getting me home. Still trying to figure out why no spark.

This next one is my oldest daughter hanging out the truck with her shoes on the dash. I am the dumb ass in shorts in like 20 degree water freezing.

so much for the cream puff :D

so did the stall get you stuck or did you just loose traction and foward (er....any) progress?
Glad youre out and had some members close by to help w/ the extraction.

Man! I got cold just looking at you standing in that water!

Hah - I was freezing, it is a '78 model..but not the OEM dizzy (which I just bought). It cut off before I lost traction and water started coming in :D, I am very glad members were nearby and jumped right into helping on suck short notice.

You can see the water line about an inch or 2 above the rear fender well and that was the lower part of the water...kinda sucked, I would love to have had it stay running and seen if I could have went on through...oh well, there is always next time :)
