Update: had some points new in the box from PO, got ready to put them in and unclipped the dizzy cap...thought I would try it one last time...tried to start it, heard it turn over and a electrical clicking...re-clipped the dizzy cap and tried again, and it fired right up....so now I am thinking it was just the points were still to wet.
got to LOVE the Land Cruiser...now tomorrow, off to the car wash and get some of the mud and other crap off, then back home to change all fluids, wipe down and wax the interior and re-install my drain plugs in the floor/side walls that I had removed
.
And I will keep the extra set of points in the glovebox.
Man I love this
