Got me some new rubber. Hankook Dynapro M/T RT3 285/75-16. So far I really like them. Really quiet for a mud, and hooked up great on some really muddy/hill climbs. Also made it through some really thick soup no problem. Great tire for $150 each. Also look really good.

lets see some pics

I have had the same tires in a 295 for 6 months and have used them in quit a bit in the rocks. They are holding up very well. Not to bad in the snow either! Great tire for the price.

took some pics, need to find the card reader and I will load them up.

Been running a set of 33x12.5x15's on my FJ60 for a year. I've put 20k miles on them and there is still plenty of tread. I expect 40k out of these tires. I've been in some slick mud where they didn't clean as well as I would like, but overall I'm been quite satisfied.

I've had these in 295's for almost a year now and I couldn't be happier. They perform well in all conditions and are wearing great. I'm very happy with this purchase plus they look great. :bounce:

I noticed on Discount tire direct the 285 size only comes in load range "E" and it seems like airing down would be a bit hard on the side walls...is this why some have opted for the 295 other than the small gain in height?

darn i thought you could get the 285 in a load range "D"...

What's wrong with a load rating of E... too harsh?

well from what I have heard they have really stiff sidewalls and if you air down for long periods of time some de-lamination of the plies can take place...maybe some one has a different opinion on this:confused:

toyos are 10ply too. There are some web and mag tests and long term write ups. Including a hummer driven across the country then thru the rubicon. Hankook tires has been around a while.

Does anybody have an opinion on how loud these tires are? The look and the price seem right, but I haven't heard anything about how noisy they are...

read the first line of the first post.

Hmmm.. Maybe go to Hankook tires webpage and get the PDF file on the Dyanpro RT03 MT tire like I did.. Just might have all the stats you are looking for for all available sizes.. Just a thought!

I have these tires too and can't complain. Good value for the money and not as heavy as the Toyos MT if memory serves. They're still quite heavy and dead lifting the spare onto the rack does require proper attention on the back! Their site doesn't tell the weight but I suspect it's around 75 lbs/tire (exclude rim weight). I'll have to check my notes when I get home for verification.

This is a really interesting tire at $150. Can anyone else either confirm or deny the on-road noise level?

They're definitely not as quiet as my Geolander ATII+ tires but having only this set of M/Ts, I can't compare against any other M/Ts. This is highly subjective as you know!
