I have a new 88 FJ62 now in my garage. Well okay bought it about 3 weeks ago. Its in pretty poor shape so I’m going to be both participating and requesting help from you cats. Its bone stock, and has had two previous owners, all in california. The last PO put her in the garage for two years after a car munched the driver’s rear quarter panel.
I just wanted to say thanks ahead of time for all the articles and info that you all have posted, and especially for the quick replies I've received already on a couple posts. This group makes owning this vehicle possible in my humble opinion - that and the amazing support from vendors who still love this vehicle.
My plans for it at this point are to make it a reliable driver, possible camp out vehicle, but not level 5 off-roader. I'll buy another FJ62 that's already got the mods on it for that I think; but who knows this one might get under my skin.
Next is fix the muffler, find a body shop around here that actually knows how to spell welder, and get is smogged. Then the fun begins.
