In that last pic I thought you had the swingouts built too! Looking again, the stuff is just held up with stands. Either way, good work :D

No no no no. It's called research and development for your business, not just a money pit. She's a money maker!

Is there a good spot to use a hi-lift on it for changing tires and such?

Got the base swing arms bent and welded up. Rest of the bumper is mostly welded, capped the ends off and cut the spindles.

Maybe a spit attachment so you could just swing it out over the fire!

Hey J, What size rect. tube do you use for the swingouts? Also do you have any pics of the spindle welds? I need to get an idea of how its done...

Looks great.

D, I use 3" x 2" x .188" wall. I'm in for the night, but will take some pics of the spindle welds for you. I cut the 1.5" hole in the shell and weld both sides of the spindle penetration. I grind the "outside" weld flush with the shell and leave the "inside" weld as is. Then when you know your angle of the bumper, you can cut the spindle down and just weld it to the cap or shell on the "inside" as well.

I'll shoot you a pic tomorrow.

GO AMERICAN LEAGUE!!
