Just want to offer good quality armor at a reasonable price...

When are you going to unveil the Damascus version?

Well I have been "talked" into doing other things today by the ... We are headed down to the gorge to fish a little. She says I need a break from time to time and today is absolutely beautiful here in WY. I got to spend about 30 minutes looking at the frame mounts and cutting a little metal. I will order in some material for next Thursday and get to work then. I have a week off and plan on doing plenty for Trail Tailor then. It is that first one that takes so long, and then the production starts to roll.

I hope to have the rest of my shells in by then as well and plan on adding one more rear style of shell that Patrick and I have conversed about.

Have three more tables/benches to build out and get to fabricating a few things. All the household items are officially out of the shop as of this morning. IT IS ALL MINE AGAIN FELLAS!!!! I have my A-frame and the old '85 2F and splitcase to roll out of my way.

Anyhow, sorry for no armor updates, but the and hopefully the salmon are needing my attention more today.

Didn't catch anything, but enjoyed the weather and time with the wife away from everything. The rivers are running really hard into the gorge area where we fish right now and its pretty muddy.

Work is a busted PITA.. bosses and managers are coming in and stuck at airports etc.. So, I came home to get the 37s on Goss. Call my buddy and knocked these boys out in a couple hours.. WOW these are big and Goss is sitting tall. 45" to top of well in rear and 43 1/4" in front. Hope to completely level that out with the new springs.

Honestly, no I don't Patrick.. I may still take this rig SOA.. Maybe SOA with the lift springs for a super huge lift..( YES, I'll cut those perches off and re-design if I go that route ) Have to get the plasma out to really open the wells up and go 40s at that point.. Right now he is sitting pretty damn tall, the lower axle housing and SUA mounts are at about the same height from the ground (approx. 13" of clearance there). Ground to rocker is at 28".

Like I said before, I am going slower than normal with this build... I will change my mind several times unfortunately, but hopefully I will just keep it where it's at after the front lift springs go on...

Goss will be used for high elevation flatland expedition and light to medium trails. I have more than enough clearance for that now, IMO.

And changing your mind doesn't have to be bad, it allows you to experience all the wrong choices you've made so you can fully appreciate when you've finally got it right haha. Take my suspension for example... should've gone SOA from the start... And ill probably be saying the same thing when i get bored of that and decide to try and figure out how to 3 link it haha.

that's genius, a step down or flip down ladder to get to the other ladder. the land rover defenders had a spring step that was good for that.
there's an old defender 90 here on base. I'm trying to find the owner to see if he would let me check it out.

Take a few pics Mike. I need to figure out something. Right now, unloaded to the top of the theoretical bumper... is 41". That first step for my aging old A$$ is gonna be a DOOZY!

Gonna have to get a newer dog too.. or build a ramp.. HA!

Just finished up an order to Kurt on some items needed to get my front springs installed.

I'm officially off until July 7th.. SO, the short list of what I want to try to get done.

1) Get the rest of the shop straightened/organized and build a new cut table.
2) Front springs
3) Shocks mounted
4) Front and Rear Bumpers... finish design and tack up
5) Strip/sand the rest of the paint down.

(Hopeful.. BUT PROBABLY NOT!!)
1) build sliders
2) build roof rack
3) bumper weld out and send to PC for new coating that they are trying to sell me on
4) start rust patch panels and body work


WHEW!! lots to do...

Got the shop cleaned out and wanted to let all the guys park inside overnight. WOW, I HAVE TOO MUCH CRAP!.. NAH!! just need a bigger shop! Gonna take a break and then get the PS front door swapped out. Need to do some planning on the exhaust reroute and get pipe, muffler and fittings ordered.
