Yesterday, I received my FSM, EWD, 1997 NCF from MCD. Turns out the 1997 New Car Features is basically a blank page for the LX450...
per prior threads, I called MCD and orderd the 1996 NCF.
This afternoon, I received 3 boxes of goodies from Dan-the-Man
Spent about an hour sorting everything into "project" stacks and checking the pack slip. Had to call Dan to identify and verify a few parts -- great customer service!
After picking up the kidlets, I went out and did a couple of quickies before it got too dark:
- New wiper head assemblies (it took a minute to figure out how the tricky-clippies worked)
- Replace air filter, intake pipe (old one was hard as PVC -- just waiting for Murphy to crack it), and cleaned out the tuna can.
This weekend, I'm planning to take on the PCV valve, antenna mast, transfer case indicator switch, and CDL w/ Pin 7... we'll see how it goes.
The coolest thing is my almost-3-year-old son loves to come out and help work on the "wand cruiser"
He heard me mumbling about needing a little screwdriver, piped up "I have a wittle screwdriver, daddy", ran inside to his bedroom, and came back out with his 6" long, 1" wide plastic one -- then kept asking my why I wasn't using it
Then, tonight at story time, my 4-year-old daughter says "Daddy, I'm sad that you didn't let me help work on the land cruiser"... I might have 2 "helpers" on Saturday... and get 1/2 of one project done!
