Well it looks like I threw a code as I was rolling into the garage.
The thing was running perfect untill , its like some one threw a switch , it starts stumbling and idling rough.:frown:
So I figure I would take it up the street and it might clear its self out.
No luck , I have been putting off buying a scan tool for ever looks like time 's up.
Soo before I read the code is there any guesses on what it will be??? or could it be anything?

UPDATE
CODE P0305

I did a search and I will begin the hunt ..... when I get a sec.:wrench::wrench:
BTW did I ever mention I love this forum:beer::beer::beer:

Thanks,
ken

Most autoparts stores will read the code for free. Don't put it off; probably minor, but hey, could be the dreaded headgasket...

update

P0305

Thanks,

Misfiring in cylinder 5. This could be a wiring harness, fuel injector, head gasket, etc.

Don't get just a scan tool. Buy the Scan Gauge II. It hooks up to your OBD-II port and gives real time data in addition to your scan & read functions. The best part is you can scan it while on road if your check engine light comes on. You can diagnose & determine severity of problem while on the road. Plus you don't have to take time out to find the scan tool in the back some where, hook it up and get out on a busy road or shady neighborhood.
It shows volts, coolant temp, intake air temp, fuel mileage, speed, distance 'till empty and a ton of other stuff
Check out this thread to see it or read up on their website.

ScanGaugeII - Scan Tool + Digital Gauges + Trip Computers
The price is comparable to that of a good scan tool, maybe abit more but well worth it at $169 with free shiping!
Just my $0.02 - sorry for the long windedness

I finally got some time to look at this .
Upon further inspection , The cold / high idle is fine but when it warms up (about 2 min) it starts to miss and when I put in drive It stumbles bad.
I tested the spark on cold idle and it was fine.
The plug looked ok and I put a paper towel on the piston head (sat over nite) and it was dry.
Coolant sump looks fine and I did not see any bubbles while running.
Next step is to pin out some wires...

Any thoughts or any suggestions ?

Thanks,
ken

Follow the procedure in the FSM to determine if your ignition wires are OK. Have they been replaced before? I am guessing it is time.

Finally got some time and after some mixed trouble shooting I decided to throw some parts @ IT.

New parts installed:
-Plugs
-Wires
-Cap & rotor
- Charcoal can

So after a quick test drive , no code and no mis , I will give it a little more time before I call it good.
While I was in there I wrapped the EGR pipe and the wire loom , even though there was no apparent damage.

Thanks for the help,
ken
