For the sake of keeping this a GX forum... here's a link to the Mustang build. :steer:

Oh my GOSH! That is off the HOOK!!!!
Okay, O think this thread is going to rabbit trail for a few posts... gotta give some spec's on it. Are those rear wheel wells tubbed? Do I see a cage inside or is that just a seatbelt strap?
And thanks for the compliment. It is further evidence of my disease.

Just read your buildup on the 'stang. Wow! Talk about sparing no expense and doing it the right way!
It is beautiful!
Can't believe the motor alone is $25k! So is this a keeper to hand down to the kiddo's or an investment (assuming you can get back what you have invested...)?

Now we can continue with our normally programed thread.

I built it to drive, but my history with vehicles suggests that I’ll get bored with it and want something different in 3 or 4 years so we’ll see.

And yes, that motor is an absolute beast.

It's been a good long while since I posted anything here ... life gets busy, we've moved, blah blah.

I have used it a few times for "solo" camping over last couple of years - mostly the night before a big hike.

This weekend the family got out for a camping trip. I sold the off-road best of a camper from the pictures earlier in this thread, so now have to rent one when we decide to go out. This was the heaviest thing I've towed with the GX - roughly 5800lbs loaded - and it did fine. Slow, but fine.

Found a nice little disbursed spot with a view of Chimney Rock.

Good to see you back on!
To bad you had to get rid of the trailer. Are you thinking something smaller/lighter?

I had a period where I was traveling 100% (ever week) for work and knew I would not get to use it so I decided to sell it. Things like that tend to "rot" when not used, so sent it to a good home.

I'll get another at some point.

You still doing the insane travel schedule?
