Awesome. Nice an cool in the La Sals? I've done some trails through the La Sals during my trips to Moab, always looked like a good place to be this time of year.

I am leaving tomorrow for Wyoming from Minnesota with my Escape 15 fiberglass camper... all hooked up and ready to go in the morning.
Temp was perfect. We were about 8k altitude so it was amazing.

I’ll add that with 550w of solar and this western clear sky sun, batteries were always fully charged!
Solar for the win!

Wow! All those pic's look awesome!
Gotta love MUD for the ability of sharing these types of adventures, especially since I don't have any social media. (note: I hate social media and only have LInkedin just for professional reasons)
My wife and I did some dispersed camping this past weekend in our local mountains. Just haven't had a chance to post yet. Stay tuned!
Question: did you do fire roads/overlanding for most of the trip transitioning between states? Or was the off roading to get to camp sites.

I did most of the long travel stuff on roads - avoiding the main roads and choosing as much “back road” as I could. If I had more time, I would have done the whole trip on fire / Forrest service roads.

On my list to do is the New Mexico Back Country Discovery Route - google it if you want to check it out.

Hah, love the name of the event.

Doesn’t exactly fit the “over landing” theme… but rig and camper served a purpose. Used it as base for the Texas Hotter ‘n Hell bike ride Saturday.

The one thing I can verify is that the Cel-Fi booster makes a meaningful improvement in reception. This thing is awesome.

Congrats on doing it! I used to do tri's and bi's about 60 pounds ago. Got to busy, stopped riding... yada, yada, yada.
Now you're starting to make me feel guilty.
Still have my old school Kestrel all carbon fiber with full Shimano DuraAce throughout! No disk brakes or electronic shifting. Back in the 90's is was one sweet and fast ride!

I did that ride the first time when I was 12 years old, I watched an older gentleman fall to the road dead, heart attack on the bike, I'll never forget it. How were the winds this year?

Winds were coming out of the south, so really felt them on the last leg of the loop. 12-15 headwind made the last 10 or so feel pretty tough.

All in all, great event. Well run and organized…lots of fun. I’ll be doing it again.

“Just ride your bike”. :)

I, too, live in Frisco and I look forward to taking my family to some of these adventures you've done. Thanks for sharing!

Installed the YotaWerx tune …. Very pleased with it. Not a ton of power gain, but the midrange feels a bit stronger.

Biggest difference is throttle response and transmission shifting - much improved.

No noticeable difference in fuel mileage - if anything it is ever so slightly better.

The “regular” fuel file didn’t make much difference at all, but the premium file did.

For what it’s worth - I’d do it again.

That's great. Cannot wait to get mine done in another couple weeks.

😂 Sounds kinda like a Pedal Commander! 😂

In all seriousness, though, I'd be interested in more long term feedback on the tune. Surprised it doesn't result in more noticeable power increase.

They were very straight about the expectations for power gains - on a naturally aspirated engine with no other real mods, you can't expect much. They told me they thought it was ~10hp peak gain, with larger gains in the midrange - and that's what it feels like to me.

Not at all like a pedal commander - it modifies the transmission response to pedal movement so the trans/engine work together better. That's the only way I can explain it. Pedal is still linear.

I've got a few hundred miles on it. They warned that you should not use the premium tune with regular fuel - pretty high risk of detonation/damage if you do. I suppose if I'm ever *stuck* somewhere and had no choice, I would just baby the throttle.

If you buy the OBD cable/kit, it is very easy to do yourself - so you could carry a laptop around and be able to easily switch back to regular fuel tune (or stock for that matter) if you needed to.

No link, but if you're interested, send them an email. Very responsive.
