I’m wiring up my 200, and will be putting a redarc 1225D in the back near the 100ah lithium battery.

My plan is to do a run from the stock main battery to the rear underneath the truck and have it come up in the grommet on the drivers side. The charger and battery are behind the fridge also on the drivers side.

I was thinking of using 2 blue sea circuit breakers (40a) and 4 gauge wire…

Is that think enough for the distance? Or even too thick for the 25amp load. It would be easier to run 10 or 8 gauge.

Thanks

Google "Blue Sea Wire Chart" to get an idea of wire size. Just remember to include the entire wire length, both positive and negative when selecting wire gauge.

Also, read the installation manual for the REDARC BCDC, they recommend wire size (up to 30 ft as 6 gauge). For the BCDC 1225, 40 Amp fuse is recommended at the vehicle starting battery. Unless you want to easily disconnect the load from your starter battery, a fuse is easy/simple. The circuit should not trip unless you have something majorly wrong, so a resettable breaker is not necessarily needed.

I ran 4 gauge to the back of my truck when I was wiring my BCDC (not LC200) if I remember correctly, as I wanted minimal voltage drop to power the BCDC and other potential loads. Probably overkill, but I was doing it once.
