I dont know how to put this under cha t so i'll just put here in tech cause its kind of about tech.

I am writing a paper on why diesel should be used instead of gasoline. this is not my personal belief but it has the most evidence to support it. I was wondering if anyone here knows alot about diesels benefits. I have to have an interview about my topic. If anyone knows what they're talking about please pm me or email me at ibinazbass@msn.com

Thank you
Logan

Post up in the Diesel department, and you will get a tonn of suggestions.
Cheers,

how the heck do i post in these other places i cant even find them?

How about this article UNH Biodiesel Group . If we did this we could leave the middle east to drown in their own blood and backwards ways.

More BTU per Gallon.

Less energy to refine.

Less Volitale (safer)

Easy to emulate from bio products

Longer engine life spans (lubrication and piston, and internals designs)

Simpler (back in the days at least)

Cleaner (even with clean fuel not as clean but factor in the mileage and CO2 per mile burned and it is a winner almost every time)...Wait till they come out with a electric diesel hyrbrid)

HP-$ ratio much higher than gasoline.

I'm sure I've got more reasons up my sleeve but this should get you started.

thank you very much!!!

We need more diesels !!!

I believe that "Big Oil" has the EPA somewhat in their pocket. Thus preventing the more wide scale availability of diesel powered vehicles here in the U.S. that other countries are able to get. Just look at all the diesel powered vehicles that Toyota alone sells in other parts of the world.

A "Plug-in" hybrid with a diesel engine fossil fuel component (ideally burning bio D) could easily get on the order 150 mpg. And such a vehicle need not look like a golf cart either. In the event of a power outage due to ice storms, flood, hurricane, tornado etc such a vehicle could be used to power a majority of the electrical items in your home until the grid power was restored. Instead of driving down to get more fuel for the generator- you would just drive the generator !

I don't have the numbers off hand, but look up the thermodynamic definition of the Diesel Cycle. It's much more efficient that most other cycles.

The argument can be made using thermodynamics alone.
