After each fill-up, I have gas smell inside the truck. Lasts maybe 15-30 min then seems to go away. Rest of the time no smell, only after the fill-up. Haven't seen any gas inside the vehicle, everything seems tight and leak free?

If you don't know the age and condition of the fuel lines (and vent lines) to your tank then you probably need to set aside some time to dig into that. Plan to remove the passenger seat and cover on the tank to replace all the lines and clamps with high quality Gates lines. The actual fill hose may need to be replaced as well, IIRC Racer has one of those. Also check the check value to the fuel evaporator mounted to the side of the tub (assuming you are 75-79 based on your Avatar). I replaced all my flexible lines when I gutted the interior for a clutch job, I cleaned and repainted the tank and re-assembled everything. One less thing to worry about.

Also, a possible culprit could be the gasket between the top of the tank and the fuel sending unit. On our 1970, it's an easy fix. Gaskets still available. Didn't even have to completely remove the passenger side seat. Rather, was able to remove the front bolts, loosen the rear ones, and just tilt the seat back to gain access to the top of the tank.

The gasket under my fuel sender was clearly slowly leaking (peeling paint around the sender) and the vent line was fossilized. Definitely a good idea to check them out if you haven’t.

i filled my tank for the first time when i bought my second 40. at the first stop light i slowed down and gas sloshed out the top of the tank as it did every time i slowed down. i had a 1/2 hour drive to get home and even with all the windows down and vents open i was so high with a wicked head ache!! i probably had two liters of fuel on my floor by the time i got home. mine was for sure the gasket around the fuel sender. easy fix but do check it out. those fumes will kill your brain!!

A follow up to my original problem. This winter had the truck in the shop to fix a bunch of items and look at the gas smell. They noticed the tank appeared to have some pinholes so we replaced the tank and some of the lines. Been leaving it at work to do some work on the weekends. Guys will pull it out of the shop in the am, to put in the lot and they say the interior always smells like gas. I can smell it a little but my nose isn't the best. Once you're in it an driving you don't smell the gas anymore. Just seems to be when it sits. You don't smell any gas when walking up to the truck, when its in the shop. Just inside of it.
Pulled the passenger seat and took the tank cover off. Also unscrewed the vapor separator from the bracket. Smelled all the hoses and hose connections. Only smelled a whiff of gas at the separator hose that goes to the charcoal canister. It was clamped but was sliding on the plastic stub where it connects to the separator. I put a second clamp on it and it stopped sliding.
Also was getting a light whiff of gas on the vent line from the top of the tank to the fill hose. Bought a new piece of hose and double clamped both ends. All other connections were tight and I couldn't smell any gas at them.
Followed the 1/4" line from the separator to the charcoal canister. No canister, hard line runs along the frame, up into the engine bay, switches to about 8" of hose and it just sitting open ended. I'm guessing there was no canister when I bought the truck last year. Drove it all summer with no issues and no smell, other than when the tank was full, then would go away after 30 min of driving.

Can't figure out where the smell is coming from. I could see it coming out the end of the canister line but I would think I'd be smelling gas around the truck rather than just inside. Also, truck came with a Weber carb vs factory. 2f engine.
