Hi all,
this is an FYI about garbage storage for city, vacation traveler, not for overlanding or living in your truck. The solution is surprisingly cheap ~$30.

LX has large door pockets but I prefer to use them for storage not for garbage. Same goes for my cup holders. I do like the garbage contained and the container easy to empty and wash. That means any soft bag (fabric or plastic) is out. The container has to be secured not moving and spilling garbage on the floor/seats.
I expected Lexus to offer an integrated solution for the garbage problem for a truck costing 100k (like my much cheaper Volvo does). In some states like mine it's a legal requirement to carry something for garbage being that even a bag. If Lexus offers something I could not find it. So there is what I got for my truck...

Front
The central console offers no easy way to attach something for garbage (stuff hanging from the shift lever is so ugly!) I'm not willing to drill holes in my leather either. So the remaining option is the door pockets as hanging points.
Because the size of the cabin each side will need to have its own container. Alternatively they can access the rear garbage cans if they hang from the back of the front seats.
The driver in particular has to be able to very easily reach/access the garbage can.
Hotor
Large clip to hang from the door pocket top edge. Lid opens front back instead of sideways.
Cons: when getting out of the truck you can hit it with your foot. It happened a few times when I installed it. Now I got used to it and it does not happen anymore.

Rear
I do not like garbage bags hanging from the front seats headrests!
Rear guys should not have to pass their garbage to the front.
In the rear there is one more option to hang from: the top of the front seats rear pockets. There is enough leg room so hanging a small or medium can will not mess up the leg room and it will not get kicked when getting in/out.
Zone Tech
No lid and medium capacity. Can't be used for door pockets because clip is too small.
It is large enough for my medium garbage. It does not get used often it is more for just in case or when we have the truck full of people/more garbage is generated.
CZWL
Lid, with push down trap door, mini size. Can't be used for door pockets because clip is too small and lid interferes with the door card. Nice that it has a lid so you do not have to stare at the garbage while seating in the back.

I simply have this container sitting in my driver's door pocket. Fits pretty well, fully waterproof, no chance of spilling anything. It was $20CAD when I bought it.

I have this Trash Bin in mine. Hangs off of the back of the console. Reachable by anyone front or back seat. Folds flat if someone were to need to sit in the middle seat. I just put grocery bags in it for trash but it is washable.

Isn't it covering the rear AC and ac/audio controls?

Ok, I didn’t believe this so I googled this and sure enough, WA had a law requiring trash bags in cars in 1979. The law was apparently repealed in 2003, but still.

I am from Washington State and lived in LA and San Ramon, CA for years. I never heard of this kind of law. Something from back when people just chucked bottles out the window?
I think it's a law from 1979 or about then. I guess there was so much litter on the roads back then.

Learning interesting things everyday. I just keep a stash of grocery bags in my glovebox for the moment but some of these ideas are pretty cool.

We still have plenty of trash on the roads now here in MA. But most of the jerks who throw trash out the window wouldn‘t bother to put it in a trash bag in their car, so such a law probably wouldn’t help much here.

You can't legislate morality.

That's unfortunately true. We live on a relatively busy side street and have to pick up trash that's tossed out of car windows or dropped by people walking by on the sidewalk on a pretty regular basis. And it isn't just bags with the golden arch on them; it's those plus soda cans, beer cans, Dunkins / Starbucks cups, general trash, and so on.

It does not cover the vents. It does partially block the the controls. We rarely have anyone sit back there and never use those controls.
