Hey All

Anyone have one of these in an 08-13 long term and can provided feedback on whether or not you've developed any squeaks or rattles?

Thanks

Love mine. Originally installed it on my 2013 and have moved it too the 2015. No issues with squeaking.

Thank you!

Did you choose the balls over the rail or are there different version?

I've had it on my Lexus LX570 since January and have heard absolutely no squeaks or rattles.

The only thing is that they reflect the sun onto the windscreen which is something very minor.

Great having different mounting options and great cable routing without drilling the dash.

Just ordered one

I've had mine in for 6 months and have had zero problems. Even after using the track to mount a LCD screen I use for towing the whole thing is still solid. I used some vinyl wrap to cut the glare.

You can do anything you want. The mounts do not come with the plate. Or at least they didn't when I bought mine.

You may want to hop over to this thread for more info. Pretty much every configuration option and install tip and issue has been covered over many pages:

Side note, I highly recommend this bulletpoint option for wireless phone charging option. I just picked up recently and I actually prefer it over the two more expensive 67Designs iPhone mounts I have. The wireless charger is built-in (Unlike 67D), and the magnet is crazy strong, as good or better as my non-charging 67Designs holder. I'm a big fanboy of 67 Designs in general, but I gotta give credit where credit is due to Bulletpoint here.

I've had mine in for a month on my 2013 model, zero issues. Quality product so far.

Thanks all

Ordered this a few days ago. Got receipt from PayPal about order

But, No email or order confirmation (checked spam folders) at all from Gamiviti, left several voice mails too and sent emails. No response.

Seems they’re a trusted/liked vendor

Soooooo?

I believe he's a one man shop and have ordered stuff from him before. It's always showed up.
At some point I'll be ordering one if these as well.

Thanks.

Just got an email, they are in Utah and order will ship next week.

Bummed, as I won’t have it in time for upcoming trip, but such is life

I guessed I missed the mention of them being away on their website 😂

Would anyone mind sharing how they wired their stuff - Like I understand dropping it through the dash, but are you splicing into the 12v or just connecting back to the front socket of the 12v or is there a better solution all around like a box that connects to control panel?

Not even remotely impressed with this product, and irritated by lack of detailed instructions.

I am fairly mechanically savy guy and after 10+ tries, It still looks like ass, and cant get all the plastic clips engaged into the dash.

(yes, i have watched his videos)

I'm pretty over it.

Thinking of options:

1) Bring to local fabricator friend, have him cut one up on the waterjet with better metal clipping mechanism

2) Order new plastic backing with clips, try to salvage gamiviti unit and mount it by epoxying to the 2 parts and ignoring the useless metal clips

3) Abort the whole idea, and use suction cup mounts and launch this into the trash

I think the root of the issue is the metal clips on Gamiviti unit arent relief cut enough and bending them over 90 is warping the dash mount.

I dunno. For now, its getting chucked into a pile on garage floor

I bent them in just slightly, nowhere near 90 degrees and it fits nice and snug. Love the utility, though I wish I would have gone with a low-glare finish.

Interesting, that’s the exact opposite of how I was told from Tim to install this 🤬

I'm sure a tighter bend would make potentially more secure to the plastic base, but the base just pops out anyway and if you pull up on any of the mounts it's the plastic base that releases from the dash, not the Gamiviti from the base. I'm 45 degrees at the most. No warping, fits straight at true.

I’ve aborted this whole idea and ordered one of these from @goooooo to try, will report fitment
