FZJ80 vs 100 series - Pros/Cons/Comparison (1 Viewer)

Question for those that have owned 80 and 100 series - What are the good/bad points when comparing the 80 series to 100 series. I own a 95 FZJ80 with diff locks (stock condition) and I am considering purchasing a 2001 LC (stock condition).

Alson, the 2001 has a switch to the left of the climate control buttons that shows the 4 wheels with on "X" between them. Any idea what this is for?

This has been talked to death before, and searching will yield a lot of reading. From what I've concluded, they are 2 very different beasts. Also that button in the 2001 is the center diff lock which for whatever reason was droped on the 80 series in the US. You should look into ordering one for your 95.

Not so much the age, but if you are remote on a company provided budget laptop that size is pretty much unreadable.

Just get one of each! I let the wife drive the 100 and she lets me drive the 80, and neither one of us would drive the other.
