My Weber cable throttle control busted last night at the end where the cable attaches to the pedal. Well I ended up driving home with a piece of rope tied to the carb and when you pull it it opens up. It was actually a very fun drive.

Should I just buy another Weber cable or is there something better out there that I could replace it with?

Had something like this happen with a Holley once. Rerouted the choke cable and drove the Cruiser like that for a couple of days. Can't help with a cable recommendation. Dumped the Holley when I went with a 3FE swap.

Howdy! I've had that happen twice with Toyota cable throttles. I went down to the local hardware store and found the largest cable that would glide thru the sleeve smoothly. I built a spare for it, just in case, but I have had no issues with it in over 10 years. John

Had to use a shoelace once! Go to a bike shop (bicycle) and get a brake cable and keep in your emergency parts kit, only about 2 bucks!

That sounds good, I currently have these little clamps holding the cable to the accelerator and it feels strong so I think Im just going to stick with that.
